Comic #161: Chelsea’s Comeuppance
Monday, July 4th, 2011This is probably the first time I’ve ever drawn Seth with a truly shocked expression.
Up until this point, Persephoni’s reason for being with Chelsea has not been thoroughly explained, leaving a lot of questions as to why Chelsea even has a Guardian, or why she is unable to see the others. The next page will give these answers and will open the door to the next story arc.
All I will say is that to those who have been wondering what the Guardians are, who Eddy is, and all these other interesting tidbits: you’ve got a lot to look forward to. Naturally I won’t be revealing everything all at once, but this will be the first real glimpse into the backstory behind the Guardians.

….what just happened at the party is got to be one of the most unforgivable betrayals ever seen. I’m not sure there’s an outcome that doesn’t end with somebody being ostracized from the sort of social group these kids are part of.

Whoa….. She deserved that. Didn’t know guardians could do that. And you could tell that really hurt, too. The guardian that is. Chelsea deserved to be hurt.

Guys - this may not be all peaches and cream.
One, we know the truth, but no one said that any of the people in the strip will believe it, especially given that the lie got established first, and accepting that it was a lie means dealing with the guilt of trying to lynch an innocent guy. Which could get ugly. Uglier.
Two - Max, I don’t think Guardians can do that, given what we know. I’m worried that Chelsea just forfeited her guardian when she preformed attempted manslaughter for the sake of spite, or that Persephoni has given up on her and retired herself (and in either case, it may cost Persephoni quite a bit more than we’ve seen).
Hold off on the party balloons until we see all of the aftermath.

This will definitely be interesting. And sadly, Persephoni is now irrevocably mad at Chelsea for what she’s done AND for lying to her “face.” I wonder when she’ll finally realize the messing with Peter will bring nothing but pain tenfold back onto her. Chelsea… if not for your sake, than for the sake of the person that cares for you deeply… please, just learn to let go of whatever grudge you have against Peter.

Actually…I’m not feeling happy. I feel sad with Persephoni…seeing her be so torn about punching Chelsea really extinguished my desire for vengeance.

For some odd reason I kept hearing “I AM A MAN!” when I see the image of Persephoni punching Chelsea like that. I probably just seen way too many Linkara videos.

WOW WOW!!!What a lick!!!iI never thought she would get that mad at her.When persephonei gives her a omega punch!!Sooner or later i would like to see chelsea’s parents reaction.They are going to find out about chelsea little stunt.She better leave peter a lone.Anyway when whitny gets out of hospital.She might put a hurting on chelesea.One more thing thou is persephonei seems to be crying.Chelesea might whined up not jhaving any friends.Good comic man!!!!!!!
