Comic #133: A Cause for Concern
Monday, November 9th, 2009Ladies and gentlemen, Peter’s parents: Robert and Celine. Until this page they had no official names, or even a significant amount of dialogue (particularly on Robert’s part. I think he had two individual spoken lines total before this page). I’ve really meant to bring them more into the spotlight, since really they should have as much of an impact on Peter’s life as Seth does… or perhaps that’s part of the reason Peter has Seth in the first place.
I’ll be updating this post a bit later on in the day with news regarding the animation project, so stay tuned for that as well.

Maybe Peter should just STOP TALKING when others are around, duh…

I’m sure after being with Seth for so long, he often just simply forgets that he’s invisible to everyone else.
You’re right, he could be more careful… but then where would the story be, eh?

[facepalm]
If I had a dollar for every time I heard that excuse…
I know Peter isn’t the smartest guy of the cast, but he HAS got into trouble before because of that, and with the principal, too.

Peter’s got a bit of the “Charlie Brown football syndrome.” It takes him quite a few times before he learns his lesson.

Glad to see a new update, was getting worried for a while. Been busy Mr. Ponikvar? Well, I`m gonna be a jerk and donate the 5$ needed to hit the mark so the next one will be in color.
MWHAHAHAH!

And since I can’t edit my last post I just wanted to say, LOVE your work, and good luck with your classes.

btw: Happy Birthday
Sorry I’m a day late. Hope you have a great b-day weekend.

@Prototype: Haha, indeed, more work is JUST what I needed at this point!
Thanks so much for the donation! I’ll make sure to set aside extra time this weekend to finish the next page in color for you. Edit 11-14: I might not have enough time to get the full color finished for Monday, thanks to this being the last week of classes, but if I do end up missing this week I’ll absolutely have it done for the next, since I’m off for winter break this coming Wednesday and will have nothing else to do.
@Megan: Thanks so much! Yeah, my 28th birthday was this past Thursday, the 12th. I just realized I didn’t mention it in this page’s description, hehe. I had fun, got some cool gifts (including Dragon Age Origins on 360, but I can’t really give it some good play time until finals are done next week), and had one of the best cakes I’ve ever had: a Snickers ice cream football cake.
I dealt with the fact that it was shaped like a football due to it being a freaking Snickers ice cream cake. There are photos of it on my Facebook page.

Wow, since when does Peter’s dad have a mustache?
O_o;

Peter’s dad has always been a bit on the scruffy side, but think about how long it’s been since he’s even been seen in a comic. I’m sure in that amount of time he could have easily grown a bit more of a ’stache.
