Comic #117: The Drummer Boy
Monday, February 2nd, 2009I’ve always loved music and rhythm games, and my latest obsession is Rock Band on the XBox 360. Specifically, I’ve become hooked on the drums, which I had expected to be the toughest choice out of the entire box set. I just had to let my new addiction reflect in Peter’s actions here, although admittedly Rock Band didn’t exist when I was his age; at that point I had just started playing MarioKart on the SNES.
In other P&C news, the contest has officially closed and judging has been completed. The official winner of the Signed Peter & Company Hardcover Edition is Layla Buttons, with her comic, “The Christmas Kiss.” Thanks to everyone who entered, as there were some really awesome entries! Unfortunately I could only pick one for the winner of the book, but you can all expect to receive your free P&C cards soon (which, by the way, are just about ready to officially go on sale, so expect some news on that in the coming weeks). I will be putting together a gallery with some of my favorite entries sometime this week. I’ll link it in this post once it’s done. Right now it’s going on 5 a.m. and I really need some sleep.
Getting back to the current story, something very interesting is going to happen on the next page. Stay tuned to find out!
For every $30 that is donated overall, a page will be posted in full color!
Current tally: $15.00 Pages Owed: 0

Congratulations Layla Buttons!
I’m really looking forward to seeing some more of the entries.
Also, love the buildup of enthusiasm (or insanity) in Peter’s face in the first 6 panels.

Congrats to Layla! And that looks like me playing Space Channel 5, to some extent…

Trust me, Pete; that’s definitely buildup.
