Ahh good, comments are working again, too. Looks like the site's finally back to normal! :D

And yes, girls like that can definitely be found in the real world. Considering that the character of "Whitney" is based on an actual person, I can say for certain that they do exist. You just gotta know where to look.

Here here! 'Tis true, geeky girls do exist. I play video games, and doodle/draw/photoshop. Can't really say that I read science fiction (I don't have too much time to read), but I do like watching an occasional science fiction movie. I also do Karate, play piano, sing, and other stuff that's not considered 'geeky', but it's all those things put together that makes me, and any other girl, unique. =)

PS. And yes, it IS a girl thing. ;)

Yeah, it so is a girl thing.
And there is such a thing as nerdchicks. They normally have other activities to hide their nerdiness. Most are too afraid to embrace their inner nerd, but there are a few brave ones. *aka my friends. The best places to find the nerd chicks are at debate meets, marching band competitions, and other areas of that ilk.
Nerdchicks aren't nonexistant, you just have to search for 'em.

What I'm wondering is, where are all these "geeky" girls hiding? Do they even exist IRL, or are they a myth created by the deepest longing of the modern nerd? Are they a reflection of his existential girlfriendless dilemma, or are they real, walking among us unseen?

I laughed at the comic when I first read it. Then, when I went back to "critique" it, I laughed again at Seth's face in the fourth frame.

Like: "Where in the world are you going with this?????"
