Comic #94: Bad News on the Doorstep
Monday, September 17th, 2007Yet another comic featuring those accursed stepping stones! Since moving back to my old house in Virginia I’ve spent some more time at those stones and took some mental reference shots to get more of the details down (like the concrete path under the stones themselves and the surrounding wooded areas). Unfortunately I discovered on one of my last trips out into the woods that somewhere upstream the water flow was blocked, most likely by debris from a recent storm… but as a result it has become a stagnant pool rather than a flowing creek, which has caused the area around the stones to dry out a bit.
It’s kind of sad how things change as time goes on. Nothing is ever exactly as you remember it when you were a kid.
So what exactly was in the envelope? Tune in next week to find out…
For every $30 that is donated overall, a page will be posted in full color!

Oh noes! Don’t pull the Drama Tag! … Unless you have already, I haven’t gone more than a month back in the archives.

Is this going to turn into one of those drama comics? If it is, I’m hooked anyway.

LOL don’t worry guys, P&C isn’t becoming a “drama comic.” It’s always going to be goofy like it has been up to this point. I just plan to have occasional storylines (like the page with Persephoni and Seth from the last story arc) that are more focused on character development than random worm-related chaos or Korgar mayhem. I have a lot of depth to these characters and sometimes it calls for a bit of conflict to let them shine through. It’s all part of the overall story (which, yes, there is a guiding plot that I’m building up to, but it won’t show for a little while yet), so all I ask is to trust me and you’ll see where this leads.

Hehe… Iggy was eating the rock. I love Iggy almost as much as I love Korgar… actually, they are in a pretty close tie.

I like the perspective in panel 5. But aside from that…..I’m going to take a wild stab at this, and guess that the letter is Seth’s resignation letter as a guardian. Or he just won the lottery. I guess I’ll have to wait until next week to find out….

The letter probably isn’t a resignation cuz you send one of those in…maybe it’s a letter telling him he’s fired…

Good thing I’m archive binging and I can just click to the next comic to see what happens, eh? I feel sorry for you other guys who had to sit in suspense for however long it took.
