Strip #1
Saturday, January 1st, 2005This was the introduction strip for the new series. I didn’t want to jump right into the whole “Guardian” aspect of the story just yet, so the first few strips were just general joke strips to get people accustomed to the characters.
I always thought this first strip wasn’t as funny as I could have made it, but when you spend time rewriting something a dozen times over, it has a tendency to lose its edge.

I keep trying, but I just can’t seem to find the old Peter & Company strips.

I’m assuming you’re looking for the old comics that were posted before I came up with the Guardian story and rehauled the entire comic. Unfortunately those strips are no longer hosted online, as I did not want to create any confusion for the new readers. A good 2/3 of the original cast no longer exist, and the characters that I kept were completely re-written for the new storyline.
I still have the old comics in an archive on my computer, and I might include them in a future collection just for nostalgia purposes, but at this point I have no intent of publishing or hosting them online.
